  • 1) We believe in the community-based tourism
Because it is a tool for rural development; the idea was to give an added value to the work of the farmer by promoting the development of rural families through tourism as a complementary economic activity, not as a substitute for their productive activity.
  • 2) We believe in the sustainable tourism
We support farming families in the Northern Zone to supplement their farming activity by the tourism activity.
  • 3) We want to stay in Mesoamérica
The touristic offer of JAZON articulates experiences of sustainable tourism in Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panama with the aim to connect rural tourism products throughout whole Mesoamerica.

The objective of JAZON was to promote rural community-based tourism as a tool for rural development; the idea was to give an added value to the work of the farmer by promoting the development of rural families through tourism as a complementary economic activity, not as a substitute for their productive activity.
