Eco Selva Natural Frog Reserve

(Santa Teresa de Cutris)

Learn everything about tropical frogs and enjoy the natural beauty at the Eco Selva Natural Frog Reserve. JAZON offers in cooperation with the Torres Calvo family a guided tour to their family farm which is dedicated to the conservation and reproduction of these colorful animals.

Caring about Nature

The Eco Selva Natural Frog Reserve is located in Santa Teresa de Cutris, in the canton of San Carlos, north of the province of Alajuela and at 1. 5 Hours from La Fortuna de San Carlos. The reserve is a family farm and mainly in conservation. As it is surrounded by large plantations of pineapple, it has become a  refuge for many animals.

We offer a guided tour of the farm in which you will see how the Torres Calvo family takes an integral way of farming by using organic methods in the production of ornamental plants and flowers as well as in the reproduction of tropical aquarium fishes. But the speciality of the family consists in the reproduction of attractive colorful frogs, which they have managed to reproduce in a natural way as the Eco Selva Natural Frog Reserve offers ideal conditions for a frog habitat. You also will enjoy the beauty of the vegetation and be given a good opportunity to observe the typical fauna of the area.
